How we work together

We have a set of agreements about how we work together. You can read them here.

We support and encourage Roving Leadership! This means anyone can 'champion' a group or task and get on with it, reporting back to the group as a whole and the development team at meetings. Get involved now by going to the Committees tab and get co-creating!

We use Formal Consensus to make whole-group decisions. You can learn more about that here.

This article is fascinating for those who want examples of what has inspired our organisational structure.
Committees may use consensus, but don't necessarily have to.

This is where our Home Ecovillage Project can meet online. We're developing an ecovillage in Southern England, currently looking for land.

Julian, Sadly I was away this weekend just gone and therefore missed the meeting. Is there anything else in the calender? I hope the meeting was successful, fun and productive. Alex

Hi, I've just joined. I'm interested in being involved in your fledgling community. I'm based in London at the moment. I am an architectural designer/graduate and after helping design and build a house at Dancing Rabbit Eco Village…

Well done for pulling the plan together that you emailed round. Some banks such as Triodos and Charity Bank are keen on housing co-ops. There is a finance scheme that offers to lend up to 95% so finding capital may not be the biggest issue:…

Hi Julian MHOS looks like a great way of setting it up, but what is the likelihood of getting such a large mortgage to purchase the land/buildings + build the homes in East Sussex? e.g. 50 acre property with 9 bed (farmhouse & outbuildings) in…

Our Name

Home Ecovillage Project is our Development Group / Company.

Antonia On-Line used to be the working name for this social network... the name comes from the movie "Antonia's Line", which Nate and Charlie are inspired by. The group didn't decide on it, and it only applied to this website. Now it's changed!

The village name has not yet been decided. Among those suggested so far: "Source Village" (rhymes with Sauce...), "Home Ecovillage," "Brightling," and "Brightfield."

More suggestions welcome, as always.
